Vegas is a busy city in Nevada with permanent population of about 500 000 and approximately 60 000 new people move into the city each year. Similar to most of the USA the house prices are down for now. The cost of real estate in Las Vegas varies a lot depending on the district. But the average cost of a house is about $183 000. The downtown area is a bit cheaper as houses are about $181 000 and the up market Anthem/ Seven Hills will set you back at least $350 000.

Not too long ago one could eat for next to nothing in Las Vegas. There were all you could type buffets, with ridiculously low prices, as far as the eye could see. Those days are practically over. Dining in Las Vegas is some of the best in the country, with prices generally reflecting so. The hotels in Vegas each have at least a few; with some the bigger resorts having upwards of a dozen eateries. Trying to keep guests from exploring other hotels’ casinos is the main reason for so many restaurants as with such a wide variety of food offerings you won’t need to leave the property. The quality at these restaurants is normally very high, especially compared to the buffets mentioned earlier. You definitely won’t go hungry due to large “American size” portions at these places.

The Marjorie Barrick museum is positioned on the site of the Nevada University, Las Vegas. This museum houses numerous educational treasures. Close to the main wall of the museum’s entrance hall is a collection of the areas oldest creatures and live reptiles. Nevada’s familiar lizard known as the Gila Monster can also be found here. The Gila Monster is a very poisonous species of lizard.

A large section of the museum centers on the lives and history of the Paiutes and Hopi Indians. One exhibit displaying Hopi Kastina dolls are also on display. Anything out here is eye-catching and nobody will ever feel like leaving the place and going home but spend one’s full lifetime out there scanning each and every exhibit again and again.

Bellagio FountainsThe fountain at the Bellagio Hotel is a spectacular lively fountain in Las Vegas. It’s spectacular because of its theatrical grouping of music, water and light. The fountains go on show every 15 minutes or every half an hour depending on what time of the year it is and are programmed to a number of songs - from One, Singular Sensation which was featured on Broadway, to “Fly Me To The Moon” which was made famous by Frank Sinatra.

The fountains are brought to life with every note of music ensuring no passersby can pass without stopping to watch. The Bellagio Fountains were constructed by WET design, who have also developed other famous shows of light and water like the Leapfrog fountains at Disney Land.

The biggest section of the Freemont Street Experience is the Viva Vision Canopy and Light Show. The awning soars 90 feet above the ground and runs the length of five football fields. It has over 12 million LED modules and 555,000-watt sound system.

Bellagio is a source of entertainment in Las Vegas. It is famous for its spectacular combination of music, water and light. The sources of the stream, every 15 minutes or every half hour, depending on the season and to adapt to a variety of songs —- A singular sensation. “Template to Broadway,” Fly Me To The Moon “by Bart Howard and became famous by Frank Sinatra.

Fugitive Hells Angel surrenders in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – A fugitive Hells Angel wanted on murder charges stemming from a 2002 biker gang melee has surrendered to federal authorities.

Prosecutors say Frederick Donahue of Rodeo, Calif. turned himself in earlier this month. He appeared Friday in a Las Vegas courtroom where his trial was schedule for Sept. 8.

The 43-year-old motorcycle gang member vanished after indictments were handed down in the 2002 deadly brawl inside Harrah’s hotel-casino in Laughlin, Nev.

Two members of the Hells Angels and one member of the rival Mongol gang were killed in the battle. Prosecutors say Donahue played a key role in the shooting.

The Grand Canyon or the Hoover Dam will come to mind of most people when thinking of day trips outside of Las Vegas. However, Death Valley is definitely a place to see if you have a chance. While visiting one of the hottest places on earth, there are some interesting plains of salt as well as petroglyphs that can leave earlier and a very fascinating old ghost town that is still standing in Death Valley.

Most people think of the Grand Canyon or the Hoover Dam when considering day trips outside their holiday destination. However, Death Valley is certainly a place you want to see if you have a chance.
